This evening I bumped into a friend who had recently attended a diabetes info day. All well and good until she arrived there to be greeted with Danish pastries, coffee or tea. Hmm...😛

As for me, first evening out at cinema (rubbish film) but meal out and had my little Metformin with me. Arrived home and tested 6.2. All good. Slowly , slowly the confidence returns :D

Utterly clueless so, what information did she glean? LOL

How could anybody, no matter how clueless, serve Danishes at a D info session??

Glad to hear that things are settling down for you Sharron, and levels looking better.

I was too astonished to ask. She did say that when she saw the pastries she thought it was a joke... it wasn't 😱😱😱 am off to buy a dozen pastries to assist my low carb diet. If it is good enough for the NHS ...

Thank you. All the firsts (back at work, going out etc) and managing the food stuff was always going to be a concern. So far well prepared!🙂

That is a good question.I wonder what on the clueless scale that would appear on...🙄

OMG Danish pasteries, how clueless they must be, saying that when I was in hospital for a week they were serving me puddings and no wonder my readings were above 15.

Glad to see your confidence is coming back, it does take a while.

I went to an event at our local hospital jointly organised by the town's GP Practices and Diabetes UK a few months ago, and they served biscuits with the tea at half-time - but that was fine, because they were low sugar biscuits!!! Packets prominently displayed by the plates so we were reassured!

Well done @Sharron1 glad you are getting there. Danish pastry`s. 😱

I'm guessing that the Danish pastries were there to test the resolve of the attendees and teach them resistance techniques - perhaps distracting them from the pastries with a Battenburg cake or hot chocolate fudge cake... 😱 😉

I like your devious brain.
