A schoolgirl who began fundraising for charity Diabetes UK in support of her young cousin has been handed a volunteering award.
Willow Hall, 14, from Snodland, Kent, won the Young Person's Outstanding Contribution at the charity's Inspire Awards.
Willow was motivated to start raising money for Diabetes UK after her five-year-old cousin, Bella, was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes three years ago.
She has since donated more than £600 to Diabetes UK by organising a sponsored "onesie" walk with her Leybourne Girl Guides Group, collecting from the public at the Grove Green Tesco store and holding an awareness event for young people at her local youth club.
