The sugar keeps on calling

The carbs they have a shout

Diabetes is a fishing

I’m a vulnerable silly trout



“Come on you know want to

It’s a tasty bite we’ve got

Have a nibble on temptation

Perhaps you could enjoy the lot”



I know what you are doing

You’re trying to get inside

Inside my head, affecting

On all that I decide



Walk away Diabetes

And take your fishing rod

I’m not your latest nibble

And I will protect my bod
