Parts of regional Queensland have become hotspots for an epidemic of type two diabetes, with incidents of the condition escalating at twice the national rate.
New reports have identified large tracts of northern and western Queensland, and areas around Rockhampton and Hervey Bay, where type two rates have increased at double the national average.
