A diabetes expert described as the ?driving force? behind improvements in care for Sheffield patients has died aged 67.
As a nurse, Mary MacKinnon spent 30 years helping people with diabetes manage their condition and designed and ran programmes for healthcare providers.
She lived to see the new Diabetes Education Centre at the Northern General Hospital named after her, while the charity Diabetes UK has an annual lecture in her name.
