The Voortrekker monument in Pretoria will be lit up in blue come next month as part of World Diabetes Day.
This will be the third year that the monument is covered in blue, the colour of the blue circle which is the international symbol for diabetes.
The lighting will take place in various countries around the world with hundreds of monuments and other buildings being lit up on November 14 ? which is officially recognised by the United Nations as Diabetes Day.
