Well as you all know this week is diabetes awareness week. Some mums from CWD (Children with Diabetes) made a film which is on You Tube and starting to spread over Twitter and Facebook. We spoke the words written by a mum in the USA around 13 years ago and what she said then is still felt now but mums all over the world who have a child with type 1.

Thanks. I do pop in and out and read some stuff but have been so so so busy recently. My workload seems to have doubled and that coupled with the sleepless nights that comes with being a mum of a diabetic child, I'm knackered with a capital K so don't get as much time as I would like to say hi. So a bit fat hairy hi from me to you all :D:D
 
Lovely to hear from you Adrienne, and to see you and all the mums! 🙂 What an amazing video - and what wonderfully courageous mums. I wish my mum was still around so I could thank her for all those years of care, nurturing & support. Bless you all. xxx

Awww thanks Twitchy, what lovely things to say. We all hated what we saw of ourselves and some got very upset saying it and others of us just look flipping tired out with masshoosive bags under our eyes !! Oh well so long as awareness gets out there, it matters not a jot really 🙂

Just thought I'd bump this up seeing as how it is awareness week and would love to have everyone see this.

We have also confirmed that Philip Scholfield has made a short piece for us on the back of this. I haven't seen it yet but will keep you posted as to what it is and hopefully a link to it
