Just had my (telephone) annual diabetes review. A new consultant (to me) who called at precisely the appointed time - the review lasted 8 mins 2 secs, and largely consisted of me giving a potted history of my weird version, followed by a squeal of delight from the consultant when she brought up my Libre View stats :D

Not surprised she squealed! I hope you are suitably proud of yourself! Congratulations!! (Green eyed emoji)
Out of curiosity did you get an HbA1c blood result and if so, how did it tie in with your Libre prediction? And, are you still on the original Libre or have you been upgraded to the Libre 2?

Haven't had a blood test, although she is going to send me a form 🙂 Still on the original Libre, which is fine with me 🙂 When I last had a blood test it turned out higher than the Libre prediction - I think this is because the Libre scans tend to show lower than actual blood levels for me most of the time, so my levels were actually hight than the Libre thought and based its predictions on 🙂 As long as it's not terrible I'm happy, because I think stability is a key factor in avoiding complications 🙂

A Green Eyed emoji from me too! :D Seriously though, it’s not the first time you’ve made medical people squeal with delight, if I remember correctly from your past review posts!😉😎😛

Fantastic results and all done on no basal insulin!! Well done you. 🙂
I am sure the consultant was very impressed.

I have a telephone appointment with my consultant next week and blood test tomorrow. Can't imagine him squealing. Would be really funny if he did but I haven't got a Libre result like that to try it and see. My last 3 months have been decidedly average, but expecting an HbA1c of about 50-53 so not too shoddy. Like you, the Libre reads slightly lower most of the time so I have added a few on to the predicted result with that estimate above.

Star pupil!

And speedily in and out to boot 🙂

No wonder she ‘squeezed’ when she saw those results.
Have you given yourself a treat.

Bit of enigma you Northie, take it still not using basal insulin, anyway great results mate.
There are others like me :D Still no basal and only needed 10 units novorapid yesterday - a couple of weeks ago I needed around 40 units 😱 So, it's still tricky and I do have to keep on my toes! 🙂 I was told by a friend in a similar situation that there is a study being mooted in York, but they haven't got enough people like us yet, so I've said I would be happy to be added to the list - it would be nice to know what is going on! 🙂 It's a 'nice to know' though, as long as we are on appropriate treatment there's no real urgency to find the causes 🙂

Yes, some chocolate eclairs! 🙂
