has anyone out there with diabetes gone on to develop any skin conditions? reason for asking is that i had to go to my doctors with weird blistering and been told it is some weird skin condition which only developed after been diagnosed with diabetes.

I think we are generally more likely to develop other autoimmune conditions than the general population - so I guess there’s a slightly increased risk of psoriasis.

Elevated BG also seems to provide a good breeding environment for bugs and infections too but I’m not sure what effect that has on your likelihood of developing anything in the first place?

I have had Cellulitis a few times, hopefully never again
