So it comes as no surprise that many women with diabetes put off talking to their doctors about breast cancer screening.

Its worth adding that if you have breast cancer screening (via a mammagram) and you have a lump don't assume that all is OK. Some cancers are missed on a mammogram put picked up by ultrasound. In some cases you need another form of scan to pick up the problem.
