I am sukkarto average HBAic 52 diagnosed 6 years ago is it inevitable it will lead to insulin injections?Im 72

No - it's never inevitable! And OK you take Sukkarto, which doesn't actually reduce your blood glucose, just helps your body use your OWN insulin better to do that - but what have you done off your own bat, to assist lowering your blood glucose - especially with regard to diet and/or exercise?

At 52mmol/mol your diabetes is not far over the diagnosis ‘threshold’ of 48, so it’s likely that a few tweaks to your diet will really help alongside your gym visits.

Cutting back on the obviously sweet things like cakes, biscuits and chocolate will help, but you might be surprised how much *all* carbohydrate affects your BG levels, including rice, pasta, potatoes, bread, pastry, grains, cereals and many fruits.

Reducing portions of the carbohydrates on your plate - either just by having a smaller amount and bulking the meal up with low carb things, or by swapping the carb staple for something else like cauli ‘rice’ or a low carb alternative to pasta - will really help your body to absorb the energy in your food properly, and not leave lots of excess glucose sloshing around in your bloodstream 🙂
