I'm currently on holiday. With the long travelling (8hour drive) and the hot weather 32 at an outdoor wedding yesterday) my feet are swollen. They're going up and down but the swelling is halfway up my legs.

NHS page says if you're diabetic usual rules do not apply and urgent gp appointment needed. Is this so? Can I not be just blaming it on heat/travel/overweight?

Just wondering if I need to do battle with the GP booking system when I'm back home Wednesday morning.

Last hba1c was 50 for reference.

Are you in the UK at the moment, if so you could try calling 111 for advice.
Have you tried elevating your legs, the hot weather and the inactivity when travelling could be the reason. Could you have been bitten by insects so it is a reaction to the bites.

Still in Belgium at the moment. Elevating my legs as much as possible, have had some bug bites but interestingly they're not interested in my swollen bits

Sorry to hear about your swollen legs @stackingcups :(

Hope keeping them elevated offers some relief.
