After two years of Libre 2, I'm currently trying Dexcomm One Plus, and so far I'm finding it better. It's closer to finger prick readings, more stable in its connection to my phone, the start up is quicker and I prefer the app. I think I'm going to switch permanently.

Interesting. My experience was pretty much the opposite. It was, like Libre, about 1-2.5 mmol out from finger pricks, though higher rather than lower. Signal loss from phone much more frequent. I found the app very frustrating compared to LibreLink -you have to connect to Clarity to get any sort of history and you can’t backdate log entries as far as I could tell. It also won’t read doses from Novopens without a third party app.

I’ll be sticking with Libre!

The linking to NovoPens is the bit I haven't got sussed yet.

I’m not sure you can link to the Dexcom One+ app, I’m just trialling one, and I was looking all over for how you could do it, and came to the conclusion it isn’t compatible with the app yet, Novopen wasn’t on the Dexcom One + list, and Dexcom One + wasn’t on the Novonordisk list, only other sorts of Dexcom. Let me know if you find otherwise!

I’m finding the Dex less bad that I feared! I’ve only ever used the Libre with the reader, so using my phone was a big step (I’m not someone who likes to carry a mobile round with me all the time, this is why I took advantage of the free trial, there were rumours that people were being swapped to Dexcom One + because it’s cheaper, so I wanted to have my research done if that happened to me). Unfortunately I got to day 6 on the first one, and it intermittently lost connection or read ridiculously low, so Dexcom have replaced it, but I've had a bit of a gap because I put another Libre on in the meantime. If this one lasts the course, I certainly think I could get on with it, thought I still prefer my Libre and reader.
Accuracy wise, they both seem as good as each other, I ran them in tandem for the last couple of days of my Libre sensor /first couple of days of the Dexcom and they were very close.

I asked my DSN about cost to the NHS, and she said both systems are very similar in that respect.

Dexcom reps have been doing special deals with some GP practices and undercutting Libre if the majority of patients using CGM at that practice are moved onto their system instead. Libre still have the lion's share of the market, so I suspect Dexcom are trying this approach to get their foot in the door.

I think @rebrascora is remembering this thread, so it looks like it was happening with the original Dexcom One, I can imagine the marketing strategy would be the same now they’ve got the One +.
Post #35 has the quote from @Eternal422 's DSN about the marketing practice.
