Dexcom sensor problems

Has anyone else had problems with the sensors?
I ask because I'm now on my third sensor of the day all from the same box. 😱

Animas have been very good though and are sending replacements out for a Tuesday delivery.

After chatting to the same very nice chap twice on the helpline I congratulated him on talking to the walking dead due to my sensor readings as I had double arrows going down with a reading of 2.2 yet my meter said 5.5. CGM also read 18.6 yet finger stick was 5.9 😱

Even though Animas customer service is excellent I'm beginning to lose confidence in my CGM as this isn't the first issue I've had like this.

Hi, yes!!! this box of 4 i am currently using have been wildly out, i got 1 sensor replaced because it was out by over 10 mmol even after 3 hard calibrations every 15 mins ended up calibrating that one 20+ times in 3 days before i ripped it off. my last one only lasted 8 days (i restart sensors for financial reasons and not being funded) and normally get 2 weeks out of a sensor. Although i only phone dexcom if it messes up within the first 7 days i use the sensor. and the one i am currently wearing is between 5-7mmol out from bg readings. I was wondering the same is it a dodgy batch!? like you it's knocked my cgm confidence and i am finger pricking more. i'm phoning dexcom directly on monday about the one i am currently using too, so i might mention i have had problems with the whole box.

It's a horrible situation isn't it?
The new sensor from a different batch seems to be working well at the moment so fingers crossed as only .4 out.
My receiver is obviously in my Animas pump so as a matter of interest I have set my spare pump up to run CGM only from it. The comparison will be interesting.

When ever you have a sensor that is reading out like yours have do ring Dexcom and they should replace as faulty goods.

After setting up my spare pump last night, I was shocked to see the difference in readings.
Woke to a CGM reading of 13.8 on my current pump and the spare stated 8.6 my meter said 8.5. I knew I would be high sevens or eights due to going low in the night.

After doing some more checks this morning I spoke to the lovely chap at Animas again explained what was going on and he is going to talk to a supervisor tomorrow as he is out of his depth and someone will ring me tomorrow.

For obvious reasons I have set up my spare pump and will be changing over to use it later today.

How strange! i wonder if it could be a pump issue, Do you have a receiver you could use instead of connecting it to the pump, Might be worth asking if they could send you one till the problem with the pump connection is resolved.

I have two pumps running both with receivers in them and completely different readings. Animas do not do stand alone receivers due to the inbuilt ones in the pump. Pump connection is easy to solve send another pump.
