Hello everyone!

I have recently started outdoor swimming and it's marvellous. It gives you runners high.... without having to run anywhere! It's the best antidote to feeling rubbish I've found.

Sadly though every time I go in, my dexcon g6 seems to start playing up a day or so later. Does anyone else have this?

And even if you don't, does anyone ever put theirs on their shoulder or arm or back (frowned on, I know) ? Because it would meet less water that way......

Thanks in advance

Sorry I can’t help, thought I would give your post a bump up

Hi @liizzzie, I'm not sure we have many Dexcom users on the forum - @Flower, perhaps, but I don't think she is an outdoor swimmer. I have come across quite a few Dexcom swimmers on Type 1 triathlon sites though - might be worth searching around for some solutions there if no-one is able to come forward with one here 🙂

Hi @Lizzzie ,

Do you or can you cover the sensor with a waterproof dressing such as Opsite or any of the other waterproof films? I don't use Dexcom so I don't know if it's possible to cover the sensor completely or if you need to leave a bit uncovered. I use Opsite over my sensor and it keeps it dry but that's only in the shower!
