Evening all, hope all is good!
Im wondering how people get on with Dexcom One+, they are so much more accurate than the libre but i have had 2 Dexcoms fail.
I always insert it in my upper arm. Today i got home from work and found my dexcom had rejected from my skin, it was sore earlier and then stopped working so ive just put a new one on. Anyone had troubles with it before. Im worried now to sleep on it

I find mine to be good for the most part. Have had some dodgy ones that have been replaced, some iffy ones that settle after 24 hours. Then I have most, like this current one that read within 0.5 mmol of a blood reading without any calibration. I wear mine on my abdomen as I did get compression lows when it was on my upper arm.

I always wear sensors on the back of my arm. That seems to be the spot that my body likes them, and gives the best results.

But as @Inka suggests some back-of-arm spots are better than others… and some are more rounded / more likely to get squished while sleeping.

Am I right in thinking the Dex One+ has the same tiny form factor as the G7? I only ever used the bigger G6s.

Sometimes I found a bit of fabric-feel Hypafix tape over the top helped to keep my Dex sensors in place and working well. But it wasn’t always necessary.

Also, make sure you clean the site first with alcohol wipe(s) and wait for the site to dry before applying the patch. Personally I fan the site with my hand to make sure.

I use the G7 sensor which includes an over-patch to apply on top of the sensor. No idea if the Dexcom One+ has that? If so I would definitely recommend you use it.

Unless you have greasy skin, alcohol is not necessary - you just need to make sure your arm is clean, dry and has nothing oily (like moisturiser or moisturising shower gel) on it.
If you need alcohol, surgical spirit on a flannel is better (and cheaper) than the single use wipes.
