Right got the dentist in hour but bit worried as I haven't eaten breakfast as dot feel hungry and having few Injection and fillings . But don't think il be able eat much after it what do you suggest to do

Make sure you test before he/she starts, you don't want to go hypo. I know it's unlikely, but worth doing anyway.

I usually go for soup afterwards, not too hot though! Hope all goes well for you.

Test before just to make sure.

afterwards go for things like soup that's not too hot, or if you want something a bit more solid go for things like fish or stew.

Yeah I think I'm cumming down with something to as got runny noise and sniffles :( great

Wish I'd seen this sooner. If people with diabetes (in particular T1s or T2s on insulin) are going to have injections in the dentist they should ask for the ones without adrenalin as a component. The adrenalin ones can cause the most awful hypos. I know, I had probably the worse hypo I've ever had as I staggered off the dental chair, had I not stood up and felt it I may have passed out in the chair. Oh and FWIW the staff hadn't a clue what a hypo was or how to treat it. This was a very expensive and highly trained private practice.

If I'd of seen this sooner, I'd of told you what my dentist tells me to do for fillings.

He asks me to eat something decent & make sure I'm not too low as apparently T1's are more prone to hypos due to the stress.

My dentist makes sure he has the kit out for me (dextrose tabs & hypo stop) I carry lucozade & fruit pastels

Hope it wasn't too bad for you

I had a filling last month, first one for years! Dentist asked me to test blood first, before she started, so all good. Stayed a little on the high side 9+, the anaesthetic lasted for ages, but no pain felt. No hypo afterwards. Keep flossing/cleaning!!:D
