some of my son friends starts going to the dentist and taken their first milk teeth off does the injection or sedative affect your blood sugar or the bleeding ater an extration evn if the tooth is really small?

My son who is 12 had two first (milk) teeth taken out last month because the new ones had grown through but the first teeth still there so a bit of over-crowding going on! Anyway, he had four injections and also bled quite a bit afterwards. None of this affected his blood sugars. All was fine.

But, of course, this is only personal experience. Best to check with your DSN.

🙂🙂

I had 5 teeth taken out so I could have my braces put on some years ago. Ok they weren't baby teeth. But I had no trouble with my sugars at all. The injection was a bit scary and my mouth was numb as anything afterwards, but no problems 🙂

thankyou i was a bit worry for graham because the dentist that we use is allways too careful with him thanks again xxxx🙂

It is good to know the dentist is caring enough to be too carefull. Last time I went to the dentist and had a tooth removed, the injections didn't affect my sugar leves, although the dentist did consult his colleagues as he'd never treated any one with diabetes before.
