Denim for Diabetes

My younger daughter's school let me hold a denim for diabetes non-uniform day last Friday. The school is split into 2 groups, infants on one site and juniors on another. Friday evening I was given all the cash collected by the juniors. The total was ?89.80:D (I have rounded it up to ?90). Now I can't wait to find out how much the infants collected.

I'm splitting the money between Diabetes UK and JDRF.
 
That's brilliant, and it gets everyone involved too.

Excellent news. I remember that my old prep school used to do a day called Jeans for Genes day. When the teacher doinf a bit of a spiel about it in an assembly mentioned the D I did get a little angry at such a young and frankly ignorant age. Oh well. Still rankles with me that one.

Thats such a cool idea! i may ask the boss at work if i can do something similar....the kids would love it if it was a superhero theme or something lol

Got the Infants' money today. It added up to ?101!!!:D
There were mainly 50p and ?1 coins, but also a ?5 and a ?10 note!

So the grand total is ?191, which I divided into:
?96 for Diabetes UK, as they sent me Denim for Diabetes stickers and posters
?95 for JDRF

I have written the 2 cheques out and will post them with the accompanying letter tomorrow.

( Oh my, now I've got ?191 in small change!!!!😱)
