After dedicating a decade to raising thousands for diabetes research Misty Cuplin has received two volunteering awards.
Misty, from Burgh le Marsh, won the Fundraising Award and the Peter Swift Award, at the Diabetes UK’s regional Inspire Awards.
She became involved with the Diabetes UK Skegness Voluntary Group when she and her husband Eric, who has Type 2 diabetes, moved to the area 10 years ago.
Misty is treasurer to the group. Her fundraising activities have included a parachute jump, but on a more regular basis the couple attend local events to run their soft toy tombola.
