Around May time i hurt my leg (a wedge of bone about 1/2 the width of the ankle bone crumbled away). 16 weeks later i'm still suffering with it :( i have to wear an air cast all the time and a doctor recently told me that i am in risk of the bone in my ankle dying. so all in all not great news, i've got to go back to the hospital next monday to talk to a specialist but i'm not expecting much to be honest. I'm not sure they can offer an operation to fix it, i shall have to see what he says on Monday.

i wouldn't be surprised if i don't end up loosing the foot, not that i want to but i could do without the constant pain :( also i've noticed the calf muscle on my bas leg has almost totally wasted away :(

arrrrg! some one pass the anti-depressants i think i could do with some.

I hope you don't loose the foot. When you see the doctor ask if you can have some physiothereapy or gentle exercises that will help build muscle or at least reduce muscle wastage.

Hubby has osteoarthritis and some muscle wastage, we do seated tai chi which helps to keep joints moving, but it is best to take advice if you're uncertain...

Hi Simon, really sorry to hear that your ankle is still causing you problems :( I hope that the specialist can give you some good news and that there are treatment options available that mean you will keep the foot. I can only imagine how awful it must be for you, keeping my fingers crossed for a positive outcome. 🙂

Oh dear, I'm so sorry to hear of your pain, fingers crossed for Monday. Sending positive vibes and (((hugs)))

Simon, I've only just seen this. Just wanted to add my good wishes and I'll be keeping my fingers crossed that the docs can do something to help you get rid of the pain and keep your foot. Take care and sending you positive vibs. XXXXX

Simon sorry to hear about your leg/ankle just wanted to add my best wishes and I hope it all goes well come Monday

Take care x

Thanks for all the messages :D i'm sure i'll be fine - just being a bit negative. Its been a long summer and my leg has been a pain (in pain) the whole time. its a lot better with the cast on but i cant wear that all the time / for ever. it just gets me down sometimes 🙂

we'll see what the doctor has to say on monday, i'm not expecting miracles - but i'd assume they may want to x-ray 1st :D
