Morning all
On the recommendation of my diabetes nurse, I did my first blood test this morning while still in bed, then I got up, went to the loo and made a cup of tea then tested again (within 10 minutes) First reading 9.2, second reading 7.5. Not exactly what I was expecting, having read about the dawn phenomenon

That would be Foot On The Floor that you didn’t get @Roozle DP starts from around 4am, FOTF is once you get up.

Not everyone gets them. I found mine weren’t there or at least weren’t noticeable until some years after diagnosis (I had a long honeymoon).

Repeat doing what you did today on other random days, to see if that always happens or just a one off. ie - see if that's a regular pattern - or not - before you, or nursie, need to take any different action to whatever you're doing now.

Thanks, I’ll do that
