A DORDON mum is in the running for a marathon bid to raise awareness of a lifelong condition affecting her teenage daughter.
Fourteen-year-old Taylor Rogers was just six when she was diagnosed with juvenile diabetes and her mum, Paula is so proud of the way she has coped since that she has signed up to run in the London Marathon to raise money for research.
Paula said: "Taylor showed all the classic symptoms of the disease losing nearly half a stone in a very short space of time and she also had a raging thirst.
"Taylor's dad, Dave also lives with Type 1 diabetes and, with a doctor's appointment pending for Taylor, we decided to use his blood test equipment to test her blood sugar levels."
