Lol Ruth, been there worn the t shirt having had gel loose in my pocket :(
It doesn't stop the top snaping off but I just pop mine in a pastic bag now so at least the stick is confined.

I hope I'm right to throw it away after it's snapped, I guess it's no good once opened?!?!
Right, I'm keeping my eyes opened for a little plastic bag 🙂 still it's won't stop it getting snapped!

Would the tube fit in a smartie tube?
For a bag I just use a small food/freezer bag.

Perhap write/email the manufactures and ask them to come up with either a screw on cap or a tube to keep the tube in.

Worth a try and good idea I'll email to them tonight! Thank you 🙂

How big are they Ruth? You know those sample bottles they use for pee - would they fit in one of them? Bullet proof screw top on them and can't get squashed!!

They wont fit in a ketostix container just tried that for Ruth.
Tube is about 5 inches long if that helps.

Urgh I can imagine the mess :(

I can't offer any suggestions off the top of my head but wanted to say thanks. I have now removed said nasty stuff from my bag and will keep an eye on peoples suggestions on what to put it in 🙂 Rob has gone in search of a little food bag :D

Thank you for trying 🙂 I've emailed to 2 companies and asked for them to be in a tube with a screw cap or in a container that they won't get snap or leak again!

I was given some Hypo Fit (glucose gel) sachets a few years ago, together with a plastic box that holds 2 sachets. Just looked online and discovered that the sachets are now called GSF Syrup and the box is called Brill-Box.
see http://www.arcticmedical.co.uk/contents/en-uk/d20_Hypo-Fit.html#p33

I never used the sachets for hypo treatment, but have used them for glucose during endurance events (there's a box with 2 scahets in top pocket of my mountain marathon rucksack, probably long past their use by dates!), and they are also marketed at sportspeople.
