DAFNE course at last!

After asking and been refused for the last three years, I was called today and offered a DAFNE course next month. All this came about because I asked to be referred to the Diabetes Clinic where I was then re categorised as type 1 to enable me to get the support I need for my “ weird” diabetes. It just goes to show perseverance does pay off, eventually! The only snag is I can’t attend the Glasgow meet now but I really wasn’t in a position to refuse!

Great news Eggy. 🙂 I enjoyed it and learned a lot. Also the support from others on the course was really good being in a room with fellow Type 1's. For what can sometimes feel quite a lonely condition just being there with others in the same position, talking about it, testing and injecting was quite liberating.
