A dedicated father is taking on the Bupa Great Manchester Run to raise funds for his son and others suffering from diabetes.
Laurence Gorman is taking part in the 10 kilometre race through Manchester city centre to raise funds for Diabetes UK, which funds research to help diabetes patients like his son Edward, 13.
Laurence's son was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at the age of eight in 2007 and now manages the condition with four daily insulin injections.
The self-employed window cleaner, from Bury, has raised more than ?400 for the charity so far ahead of the May 20 race.
