I was most interested and very pleased to see that (Prof) Jackie Sturt is heading this research. I met Jackie when she worked at Warwick Uni medical school and I was a member of the diabetes User Group there and always found her understanding of all things surrounding diabetes - especially the psychology aspects!!! to be most excellent - exemplary in fact. There's no info in Balance on who they'll be testing any of these 3 methods on or how they'll be chosen - but if anyone at DUK knows anything about that I'd definitely be interested!!!

Sounds great @trophywench

I’ll keep my ear to the ground, and feed any info I come across back your way 🙂

Bruce - we always have to bear in mind that great oaks from little acorns grow - and God knows I'm about the world's worst at bearing such things in mind. I had used to be quite a patient person but over the years that has been tried so very very much it sometimes gets to breaking point so the stupidest trivia can send me OTT - even though I also know fine damn well that I'm the only person that ever suffers - not the person/organisation I've had a rant at or about!

As I understand it, this is building on things already in use in the US and Denmark and by the looks of it it's looking at how practical and cost effective these might be in the UK. It seems possible it'll turn in to normal practice quite quickly (possibly before the 2029 end date).
