You could try half a toastie and see what effect that has on you blood glucose level, if it is Ok then try a whole one.
Thin slices bread with plenty of protein filling and salad to make it seem like plenty.

Would low carb bread be okay for it ??? I promise I add protein and salad to it , I’m just hoping it won’t spike me and if I add cheese to my toastie it will slow down the carbs on it . I don’t ever get cravings like ever but when being in many bakeries throughout the weeks or so , today was the last straw of really wanting one but I don’t want to risk the high carb white bread they use for it as they only ever add tomato ham and cheese options . So I’m hoping If I home make one with low carb bread and load it up it will hopefully curb this for me .

I use a low carb wrap from carbzone. Put a bit of passata, cheese, ham and spinach. Fold it up into a parcel and pop it in my panini maker. Half a plate of salad, bit of cheese coleslaw and some salt and vinegar nuts. Nice meal, have it about 3 times a week for lunch

As long as it’s a low carb wrap. The carbzone ones are about 4g for the smallish ones. The are expensive tho, about £4 for 8 over here, but as the make up probably 50% of my meals I think I’m worth it lol. Yesterday I had that exact meal and went from 6 to 7.8 after an hour. Back to 6 within the 2 hours, give it a go and see if it works the same for you xx

There is. Low carb wrap I do get from the supermarket , it’s 5 g per wrap which I usually fill with meat , avocado , spinach , cheese and sometimes a boiled egg and I usually it put it in a sandwich press and that usually lasts me until after lunch . Sometimes I don’t worry about lunch and I wait until dinner time . But I’ll defiantly try it your way and check my blood sugars .

Chaffles - cheese waffles.

Hovis Nimble, only 4g per slice more carbs, may be an option?
