A Crozet woman admitted Tuesday to attempting to kill her husband by giving him unnecessary insulin shots.
Theresa Lynn Brady, 33, pleaded guilty to attempted first-degree murder Tuesday afternoon in Albemarle County Circuit Court. In exchange for her plea, Brady will not be sentenced to more than four years in prison for the crime.
"Are you pleading guilty because you are in fact guilty of the crime charged?" Judge Cheryl Higgins asked.
"Yes, ma'am," Brady answered softly through her tears.
Brady's husband, James Brady, awoke early in the morning Aug. 21 after feeling a "prick" in his abdomen, according to court documents.
