I had a packet of crisps last night late at about 11 pm it was 15g carbs for the bag and I'm wondering if my GB could still be high from that after taking a reading at 1pm today which was 6.8 which seemed high for me,I did take 2 paracetamols a few hours ago as I had a pain around my kidneys/back area but that went after 5 minutes before the pills could have even worked,I think I was just lying in an awkrard position while using my laptop and it was a muscular ache.
My excuse for eating the crisps was that it was an opened packet that my mum had showed little interest in so I thought, well I had better finish those(with glee)I thought to myself some meals could contain 15 carbs easily so the crisps wouldn't do any harm but perhaps it doesn't work like that,I have had a wee a few times this morning but can't think if I have had more water than usual, got a bit of a headache too

If I eat any kind of bean my readings are higher for a couple of days, though more a blip than a spike - so I suspect that you might be particularly susceptible to potatoes.
I suggest that investing in some plastic clips to close up packets might be a good idea.
I can resist cream crackers far more easily when they are 'safe' in their designated box than when lying around 'unprotected' - even though it is from myself.

Ok thanks Drummer,it made me a bit paranoid today,I just need to relax and stop worrying and stay away from the crisps/potatoes

I would have thought the reading from the crisps would be long gone by now. If your stressed your bg would be high, after work I’m usually 4.5-5.5 when I had an appointment last week I was 6.9 and it had to be the stress. Relax one packet of crisps is not the end of the world.

Hi my mum has the yearly social worker visit on Tuesday as part of my mothers annual care review so I'm feeling stressed about that, everyone has to have one that's being cared for at home,so come Tuesday afternoon I will be feeling a lot less tense, they have also made what must be a mistake on a care bill/invoice that was delivered on Saturday so I have been stressed about that too and their offices are shut until Monday so I have been worried about that and unable to get it sorted out,so it hasn't been the best weekend

Bless you sounds like you’ve got a lot on your mind so please please please don’t worry about a few crisps. I hope everything goes well for you Tuesday and you manage to sort your invoice out tomorrow

Hope everything went well for you today

Hi thanks for asking, it went well the lady was nice and we had a good laugh, and I found out from the finance office that the bill that seemed to be incorrect was because I typed in a wrong digit online on the last bill so unwittingly made an underpayment so they had added the shortfall to this bill,so that's fine,I'm going to make a point of having a super relaxed day tomorrow, that should be any official stuff out of the way for quite a while.
