Before diagnosis I skipped breakfast, often lunch too since diagnosis I've been eating 3 meals a day and feel much better for it but my breakfast is becoming repetitive usually a cinnamon or berry & cherry porridge pot or 2 lidl's waffles toasted haha going to have to start mixing it up a little I think haha although those waffles are so good, anyone else a creature of habit like this lol x

Me, I like repetitive, it makes life easier and comforting. I usually like eggs for breakfast. 🙂

Well tomorrow will be 2 toasted waffles as need a quick brekkie then Friday I will change kinda 2 toasted waffles with a sprinkle of cinnamon haha x

You have to let your hair down :D:D "Its Xmas"

All firmly carb based there. Don't you ever fancy pushing the boat out and having protein (egg on toast, bacon butty) or yoghurt or something different?

I wouldn't go back to cereal now even if my diabetes was cured - I have greek yoghurt and nuts and seeds for breakfast and it's fabulous. We try to push the boat out at weekends and have something that takes a bit more time, but is more interesting - a kipper and poached egg is always nice, and as a great hangover cure - the Dutch classic 'Uitsmeiter' - two slices of bread or toast, with ham and cheese slices on top and two or three fried eggs on top. It's a bit dirty, but hits the spot when you're regretting overdoing it the night before: https://lynnandchris.wordpress.com/2015/12/12/hangover-cure/
Also, if you're in a hurry, an omelette takes minutes and is very filling, and if you have some left over veg from the previous night's meal, chop it up and bung it in.

My eating habits have changed since i was told i was type 2. if i have biscuits with my tea they are rich tea, bread as a treat, no cake and cut down on rice, spuds and pasta amounts with my dinner. Breakfast i now have weetabix 3 times a week and the other mornings i have eggs. Beer only as a treat instead of everyday. So i hope that each time i come across something high in carbs i can either cut out completely of cut right down.

On a Sunday I have a fried egg and bacon butty for breakfast and Saturday it's usually parma ham or something x
