can anyone tell me if having cramps all the time is a part of diabetes. i get them in my leg,s tummy, arms, and back . thank's maria. x

Pre-diagnosis I had very severe leg cramps, particularly when resting in the evening. I don't have them now. I don't know if that answers your question Maria but, in my case, I'm sure the cramps were D related.

Yes, pre-diagnosis, I too had really bad leg cramps and it most definitely was diabetes related.

Since my BG levels have been under control I do still have them, but they're nowhere near as severe and seem to be related to my increased exercise. No doubt, I'm not eating the right things (but am drinking plenty of water).

I used to get severe leg and foot cramps when I was first diagnosed, but they gradually got less and less over time.

I still get foot cramps from time to time normally when my BG's are high.

If i dont eat when i should then sometimes i get hunger cramps but thats it x
