Hi
anyone suffer with cramp? I've started since changing my diet , wondered if anyone else does or if there's any tips out there
Thanks

I find that getting cramp in the night means that I am dehydrated. I usually need to drink a pint or more of water to ease them.
I put a small pinch of salt into my morning coffee in hot weather, as I don't add salt to my food or cooking.

How have you changed your diet?
Is it possible that you are no longer getting enough salt?

Thankyou for this food for thought,
I don't eat any added salt but I've cut out bread and most cereals so yes have cut down on salt.
Also used to take magnesium but haven't lately and I don't drink enough, so all together makes sense why I'm getting cramp.

A pinch of salt added to foods, magnesium tablets, up your fluids.

That ought to sort it out 🙂

Have you been more active too? Exercise and activity can increase the likelihood of cramps.

Hope you find a fix that works for you 🙂

Thanks I walk alot live on a bit of a hill so always hilly walks
I've taken the advice and tried to up my water and been taking magnesium again , so far so good

For a quick fix. Compression socks like the one's given to you in hospital. (Got a draw full).you can buy them from boots also. I use those as i get shin cramps, calf cramps, All those tips from fellow contributors are spot on. Usually dehydration is the root cause. Hope you find some relief.

Statins can cause cramps I believe. I got constant ticks and muscle twitches moore when I was first on them.
