That is another reason why I adore them Matt 😉. I do not like sweet stuff & there are to many posts with that in. Can you imagine what a stranger to this site thinks o_O 🙂

I hope you caught them yourself 🙂
Back in the good ol days my brothers and I used to catch them when living on the north Norfolk coast.

My wife is from Maryland (on the east coast of the States)...... They have arguably the best blue crab in the world.... First trip out there to introduce me to friends & family we had a crab boil & I managed to slice my thumb open shelling the little buggers.... Got infected too😳

I don't know if anyone's been to Holy Island up the NE coast. There is a fisherman's caravan that sells crab sarnis ! Double brilliant 😎. Caught Mackerel up there a few years ago Sue 🙂

Ah, thinking of the NE coast.... Well that would be New England for me.... Clam strips right from hole in the wall shacks....... As for Holy Island, I seem to remember the Mede rather than the crab

You'll set my husband off Hobie. His experience of a fresh crab sandwich from Lindisfarne (Holy Island) was essentially crab paste with a bit of white 'meat' sprinkled on the top. Wasn't from the fisherman's caravan though.

I am not really religious but its magical up there. Me & my two kids camped up there & found out the National Trust had an open day on the Castle. We set off walking & its more than a mile & there is a caravan that makes crab sarnies to die for. Was on the Castle roof on the tour & got another sarnie on the way back :D
