I have a sibling on the shielding list who is away from home (student so at holiday address not term time address). They’ve been told can only get jab in the area you’re registered with GP so are having to travel back for the jab each time.
I had this issue with the flu jab, eventually managed to get it sorted but took ages.

Hi,
yes I regularly look at their website, seems to be mostly informational about where you can go for the jab etc

The only solution to getting it sorted seemed to be changing to make the current address be a permanent address and registering with a local GP there. They didn’t want to do that as it’s not their permanent address so they’re just making the few hundred mile journey back for the jab.

A couple of people locally have reported that they have been able to book jabs via the NHS National booking site at our big hub, and they are aged 60 and 61, so it may be worth trying again, and keeping trying if not successful immediately. I’m sure they are bringing the age down as capacity becomes available.

Update .........
So I have now had my first Covid shot, yipeeeeeee. We saw a post on a local Facebook page saying there was a hub open for walk in Covid jabs. Took my ID and other documentation, no problem all done and dusted within half an hour have also got my second one book for May.
thanks everyone for your thoughts and suggestion.
