Been in contact with more than three people who have tested positive for covid 19.so have to self isolate. Hubby is diabetic so what does he do?? He's on metformin

If he's been in contact with you then I imagine he'd have to self isolate as well, not sure if that's what your referring to or not though xx

How or where would he self isolate? I don't have symptoms just been told to self isolate.

I'm sure if one in the household has been told to self isolate then the whole household has to so therefore anyone in your household would isolate there

Presumably your concern is not giving it to your husband, should you develop it. There is information here about how not to spread covid to anyone you live with.

All my family are self isolating as my wife tested positive Saturday. Its hard to keep away from each other but we are just taking all the precautions we can. My wife has been in bed for 3 days now so I only have contact when I go to bed but came up with a great idea of putting a big fan on my side of the bed facing her so any bugs just get blown away.

She gets cold but I sleep great :D.

Wife is on the mend but its not nice at all and I guess it could have been alot worse, sent my test kit off today so should have results before xmas. Track and trace ap's didn't work as hers says covid positive but it has not flagged up on my and kids phones, you cant get any closer to someone who's covid positive that the person you sleep with can you.

Sorry to hear that you’ve had this extra isolation worry on top of the seasonal chaos. :(

Is it 10 days at the moment? When does the clock run out?

You have to self isolate but others in the household don’t unless you show symptoms/ test positive within 10 days.

My dad was hospitalised a couple of weeks ago, just before he came home, I was told a patient in his bay had tested positive for Corvid and that dad would have to self isolate for a 14 days and as I lived with dad, I would have to as well.

Hey as others have said, if you are not showing symptoms then he doesn't have to isolate, if you are showing symptoms then he does have to isolate. The isolation period is 10 days from the time, you were in contact with someone.

A worrying time for you. , I hope you both remain well and breathe a sigh of relief when the 10 days self isolation is up.

When similar happened to my dad (he was in contact with Corvid whilst in hospital, we both had to self isolate when he came home

It was bats the other week - Pete having lost his sense of taste and being nagged at on the Thursday by younger daughter who'd been doing our shopping since March, went and got tested on the Friday, and Sat morning text with positive result, so I went on the Sat afternoon. His isolation would have finished on the Weds, but because of me, he had to isolate for another 10 days and so did I since mine was positive too. Our younger daughter got tested on the Sunday but had to go again on the Tuesday because they weren't able to test the first one, said it was indistinct. She was positive, but none of her 3 kids living with her, were.

Goodness knows if this donates us with any immunity whatever, or indeed if we are now negative. Your guess is as good as mine.

Roll on the vaccine please.

just seen this post seems many are coming down with the virus including my partner. to all get well soon.

Like others have said, I could only isolate from work if either my wife or myself were showing symptoms, otherwise expected at work. Colleagues have had to come to work when household members having been exposed to a positive covid person.
