Hi all. A while back I posted about a positive diagnosis for covid, I just wanted to say thank you to those who posted and supported me. It meant a lot, more than anything.
I am still not 100%, got the odd ache here and there and I so get tired, but I am so relieved that I am on the mend, it was scary.
Anyway, I am sending my love to those who have or are still dealing with this. It can be hard.

I had it in May & I’m still getting flare ups of bad asthma every few weeks or so since the virus was in my lungs & I think it’s still there: quiescent & flares up when my immunity is low; just getting over the latest bout of bad asthma now that started last Tuesday! It’s IS a tough, long recovery!

It really is. I still can't taste anything yet and the tiredness is a devil, but I am glad it is only that I am dealing with.
I really hope you get better soon and that this passes, asthma is horrendous even without this virus. You take care.

I had the opposite in that everything tasted VERY intense, at the time back in April/May, but, it wasn’t until later on that differences in taste was flagged as a symptom as the virus changes taste perceptions in the brain. I count myself lucky not to have strokes or other brain related complications that some people had afterwards.

So glad you are both on the mend, albeit slowly. Hope you both continue to get better as quickly as possible xx

Glad you are on the mend
I came down with Covid on boxing day , never ate food for ten days then was admitted to hospital for 5 days as my oxygen sats were very low back home and trying to work everyday but really having to go slowly as I still get very breathless.
Blood sugars are still high but coming down slowly .
Just to say that any Covid deniers out there this is real and I would not wish this on my worst enemy .
So stay safe everyone and think of others around you .

Glad you felt supported by the forum @Hemsley38 - and glad to hear you are recovering. Hope your recovery continues too @Billy Bob

Covid certainly does seem to be one of those things that can linger, even if you don’t get full-on ‘long covid’ :(
