partner and myself are eligible for testing. went on the GOV website and home kits are available but when i read between lines it seems there is little point in doing the test at the moment as the test can only detect if you have COVID 19 there and then but is unable to tell if you have all ready had the virus.
the other problem there is no antigen test available.
who is to say that you go through this and it comes back negative then later you come down with the virus, it may be then that once the test is done you aren't allowed to do another one which could cause all issues and how many have had tests at doctors which come back negative and then after problems develop only for doctors to refuse to carry out further tests, this would be a bad scenario.
after summing things up we are going to wait until something better comes along.
