Relationship to Diabetes
Type 2
Hi my husband is type 2 on insulin for a couple of years he’s had a cough on and off had X-ray 2 years ago all clear but then it went to constant throat clearing now it’s coughing all the time is this diabetes related?

Is he on any blood pressure medication as some of those have a side effect of a tickly cough?

Acid reflux?
That is a good suggestion as I had a cough which was worse when I tried to talk, but had constant indigestion as well and I was diagnosed with oesophagitis and hiatus hernia which was successfully treated with omeprazole.

Sometimes people cough when they are anxious or stressed or worrying about things or put under pressure?

I've also heard some people take something called Lobelia tablets to help with coughs.

could be a nasal drip what is the reason for constant throat clearing.
