Not been around for a couple of weeks apart from the odd lurk.

Been under the weather with a cold & now have a nasty cough. Had 1 of the lozenges I always used but it has been awhile since I took 1.

They must be from my P.D. (pre-diabetic) days as they went past their exp date in September!

Has anyone tried the suger free lozenges (do they taste OK) as my old ones specifically mention to be careful if diabetic so I only had 1 as nothing else?

Or any advice on what worked for you when you had a sore throat.

Had Team Christmas meal yesterday very yummy & office buffett today. I did bring my ususal lunch so I'll just be polite & browse a bit rather than stuff my face.

Take care
Lynne

Halls do some sugar-free mentho-lyptus that I find quite soothing 🙂 Hope you're feeling better very soon! 🙂

Strepsils do a sugar free one too. I also find plenty of sugare free and preferably warm drinks help. Hot black currant and hot orange squash (both available sugar free) help some people. I find a nice hot shower helps too, but don't stay there too long.

I hope you are feeling better soon, but if the cough is too stubborn or persistent it is worth a visit to the doctor if only for reassurance.

Nope, I rarely use lozenges but I do have a bottle of sugar free Benilyn at my side as we type. It's revolting but it does the job.

For a sore throat I find any sugar free fizzy drink defintely seems to help. It's those little bubbles tickling the sore bit so sips not gulps and tip your head up a bit as if gargling. Used to be a rum or banana liqueur - blow diabetes - I could almost look forward to a sore throat with that remedy. Sprite free not quite the same kick and it doesn't make you happy!!
