Cost of Libre 2

I am considering trying a Libre 2 system but I'm not clear how it works cost wise - does one buy the sensors regularly, how often do they need to be replaced and how much do they cost?

I'm type 2, hba1c is now low 50s, down from 98 at diagnosis 18 months ago, but I think I've become less motivated diet wise recently and thought the constant information provided might inspire me.

Any advice will be appreciated

£51.94 for 15 day sensor. Dexcom One+ plus can get monthly subscription (3 x 10 day sensors) for around £79 (i do this). Why don't you try the free trial of each first to see which you get on with best.
Def help keep you in check. Dexcom isn't compatible with as many phones as Libre so def check first. I have to use husbands phone as my 2 are not compatible but do work with Libre sensors. Or you can buy a reader for around £59 i think.

@Loobyloo are both those prices excluding VAT? I was under the impression that Libre 2+ and Dexcom One+ were about the same cost per month. Or is Dexcom One+ a discounted price for a bulk order? Just curious.

Dexcom One+ is a new cheaper cgm with not so much info on the app but ideal for basic BG levels and averages. These prices are exc vat which if you are diagnosed Diabetic you do not have to pay. They are £35 each but if you do monthly subscription £79 (can be cancelled at any time). I personally prefer Dexcom as more accurate for me and like the fact i can calibrate to match my finger prick readings. It's also the only waterproof one if you like swimming for long periods.
