Hi everyone,

We are sending a card of condolence to Copepods family, from Diabetes UK and I thought it would be nice to include messages from those of us who knew her on the forum.

If anyone would like to include a message for her family, you can either post your message below, email support.forum@diabetes.org.uk or send me a PM and I will ensure your messages are included.

Thanks

Such a friendly and helpful person, knowledgable, kind, active and a passionate volunteer. A true inspiration.

Codepod, I only 'knew' you on DUK, but I liked to read your posts and I was impressed at how much you had achieved in your life. I had to google codepods! You will be very much missed.

Copepod was an inspiration to us all.

Never ever let her condition stop her doing what she wanted, never complained and was the font of all knowledge. Sadly missed.

Missed more than I can say.

Kind, compassionate, knowledgeable, a great humanitarian and environmentalist. Sadly missed x

I didn’t know Copepod but she seemed to me to be a direct, purposeful woman who refused to see barriers and had environment and altruism at her core. She gave more than she took and that’s the sign of a life that had value and purpose. Too young, too soon. Be proud of who she was to all who loved her.

Copepod was fantastic. She inspired me to push myself further with my fitness goals and always offered friendly advised. She will be sadly missed. Xx

I didn’t know you Copepod, but your kindness, humour and commonsense shown through. Thanks for all your support

I always liked Copepod because - as someone else has said, she always talked sense! No beating about the bush with empty platitudes - straight to the point, no problem. I miss her.

I miss Copepod’s sensible and informed comments. But what I really miss are the descriptions she used to add about her own life and hobbies. She came across as an intelligent and caring person, but above all as an individual. I wish I’d met her in person.

There was only one Copepod, she will never be replaced, I had a lot of respect for the lady.

Copepod led such an active, outdoors life but found time to help and support us all on the forum with her kind, informative advice for our problems. She is sadly missed.

Copepod was an inspiration to us all. She inspired and motivated us with her concern for the environment, her active lifestyle, and her refusal to let diabetes beat her even though it meant she had to change her career. Perhaps even more importantly she inspired and encouraged us with her kindness, courtesy, and generosity with her time. She is very much missed.

Copepod offered a common sense approach to everything.
Such a loss to everyone. She will be very much missed on this forum.

Thank you everyone for passing on your kind words, and to all those who have forwarded messages by PM and email, great to have received such a wonderful response. We'll be sending the card by the end of tomorrow so if anyone else would like to include an message, please let me know by 3pm tomorrow ( Wednesday). Many thanks all x
