Hello lovelies I found this yummy receipe in my new cook book for soups and I was planning to do it in the slow cooker . Total carbs is 6 and net carbs is 4 . Looks and sounds yummy . The cook book I got is amazing as it tells you the amount of carbs it has in it which helps me out so I can plan around my meals 🙂 . It’s finally soup season woohoo . 25B5C076-3E6E-42B4-A78A-5FCADD3361C2.jpeg

Interesting @Jacinta (Australian). I would call that a ragout rather than a soup! Maybe Aussie soups are different to ours.

Also intrigued by the beef broth at the top of the recipe. Are they referring to stock made from stock cubes or a beef stock made from scratch? If the latter, then a hell of a lot more than 10 mins prep would be needed!

Anyway, don't mind me, go for it and let us know what it was like.

Hey Docb :
How do you guys make a ragout ?
Aussie soup is pretty much liquid , with veggies and meat and seasoning that’s all it is also depending what type of soup you want . Another example is tomato soup which is just liquid 🙂 . Liquid in a tin , but from scratch you guys cook down tomatoes and blend it until it’s liquid . 🙂

Either store bought or from scratch sir 🙂 depends on how you would like to do it ☺️☺️ , I have a store bought beef bone broth but i actually have a receipe on how to do it from scratch so I’ll also give that ago aswell .

Finally cooked my soup . It’s delicious .
It has
beef chunks and beef stir fry strips
Veggies : cauliflower
Broccoli
zucchini
I did add some carrot
Frozen green beans
Frozen mixed veggies
And an onion
Beef bone broth and I did add some water
I also added powdered garlic , salt and pepper to taste on low for 8 hours and it tastes sensational.

When it comes to what you call things, then I would call that a stew. Were the ingredients chopped much smaller and the sauce a bit thicker then I would call it a ragout. With the ingredients blended and with more liquid, I would call it a soup.

Anyway, whatever you call it, it looks good @Jacinta (Australian), and I can believe it would taste good.
