I'm on a low GI diet, which for me means many fewer carbs and a bit more fat than I was eating.

My son and daughter-in-law live with us because of health issues and we cook and eat our main meal together. They are on a Slimming World diet which is low fat.

I mostly just eat whatever they are eating but without the potatoes, pasta, or rice but I would like to use at least some fat in my cooking, like for example oil in my bolognese sauce.

When I cook meat or mushrooms in the oven, I often make a little foil dish to set mine in so I can add cheese or whatever.

Does anyone have any other ideas how to get what I need without sabotaging their diet?

I am a vegetarian, yet still cook meat for my wife and son, it is easy. Just use a separate tray in the oven, that is what I do. Putting the vege one on top to avoid meaty spillage onto my vege food. On the hob there is no alternative to a separate pan...🙂
