@Andrew Kennedy Just to add that I’ve found that I’ve got a lot of my education from books, the internet and forums like this where other people share their knowledge. No waiting for courses, no waiting for appointments. I also prefer to educate myself and tailor my learning to precisely what I need.

If you haven’t already got them, two good books are:


Think Like a Pancreas’ by Gary Scheiner.

And Type 1 Diabetes in Children Adolescents and Young People by Ragnar Hanas (ignore the title - it’s great for adults too)
