I'm off to the hostilepile shortly for my Diabetic check. This is the one I should have had in June which has been put back three times. It ain't going to be fun. I can think of better ways to spend Christmas Eve.

AHA

I bet they don't have a clinic on Xmas Eve normally - I bet they are on catch up !

Hope it goes OK after all.

Hope the appoinment went well and next year will be better for appoinments for you

Well that was interesting. A consultant I haven't seen before, I think they must have borrowed him from somewhere. He's taken me off the Byetta and was going to prescribe the once a week version, Bydureon until he saw all the faff you have to go through to prepare it so he's decided I should have Victoza instead. They still don't fully accept the LADA Dx up here and think I need something to counteract the insulin resistance they assume I have. Still, I have more chance of remembering one shot a day. My problem with the Byetta us that by the time I've got a meal on the go I've either forgotten about the jab, or don't remember taking it. We'll just have to see if it works. HbA was 88, not good.

Good news is my Bp was 120/72 and I've lost another 8 pounds in the month since I was last weighed.

Hope the Victoza improves things for you Alison. Well done on the weight loss and BP 🙂

Well done on the weight loss and BP. I hope that the Victoza works well. Have a lovely Christmas🙂

I did cause some mild hysterics while I was waiting. I got a text and had set the alert tone to R2D2 falling. When it went off, everyone stared at me in shock and then fell about laughing. Three of them wanted to know where I got it. :D

When I was in hospital in 2011, I had made myself a ringtone consisting of the first few seconds of Help! by the Beatles. 😉 It caused a few giggles amongst those visiting another patient. :D
