Hi all,

Sorry I've been quiet again - not entirely sure where time is going at the moment!

So.. I have my 2nd Consultant appointment on Thursday and had my blood test in preparation for it last week.... I'm really worried that I'm going to have a worse HbA1c than when I was diagnosed...
Was 8.9% when diagnosed... thinking I may be the same or even more this time?? Know I was bad in the weeks leading up to the wedding and for about a month after... been really good the last few weeks though...

Anyway - fingers crossed please!

Fingers crossed! We all get nervous and worry about what the result might be, but whatever it is it will be a starting point for next time. You may be surprised at how good it is despite your various 'lapses' along the way! I hope you get a great result 🙂 I'm guessing at 7% 🙂

Hi H,
you will be fine so try not to worry.
We all have ups and downs with control and as you are so newly diagnosed it's to be expected.
Make sure you write a list of any questions/concerns you have so that they can all be gone through with you as well.

Sue

Being in exactly your position myself, I shall keep my fingers crossed for you! Good luck!!!

Thanks all 🙂

Northerner - I'd love it if I get a 7% but think they'd have to mix up my blood with someone better behaved! 🙂

Thanks Sue, will make sure i do ask questions, am lucky with my DSN too so she tends to get most of my questions. Do plan to ask about retinopathy thing though as have my first one of those on the 22nd!

Violetrose I will keep my fingers crossed for you too! Let me know how you get on
