I get ER4 on my Tee2 several times a week and it always shows as an insufficient blood sample which I can believe as I don't appear to have a lot of blood in my fingers. And I have the tester on the highest penetration mark as well.

Before you prick make sure your hands are warm and massage your finger towards the tip. After pricking if you need to then apply gentle pressure behind the hole. Just to the side of the pad works well.
I was renowned for being able to get blood out of a finger prick for experimental purposes when at work. I could get half a ml of blood from 1 finger prick which is 100x more than you need for the monitor strip.
