Last night we had a 'snack' night - I ate sandwiches, crisps, buffet food basically. I waited three or four hours after eating to make sure my BG was ok before going to sleep, as I wasn't sure I had bolused quite the right amount, but was 90% sure I had. My BG was 7.1 when I went to bed at 1am.
At 5am my BG was 24.0!!! How did this happen?! I know I bolused for everything, but even if I did not I would only have been off my 10 or 20g at the most
I put all my food on one plate to make it easier to carb count.
When I woke again at 7am, my BG was still 14.0 despite the massive correction bolus of 7 units of Novo, so I bolused for 2 more units. Now it is 12.1 so my pump suggested I take 2 more units alongside my breakfast.
Does it usually take this long for high BG to come down?
