Anyone on here wake up confused in the morning (being hypo is why I think I wake confused) but stay confused & appear stupid to the public?

I woke up confused, I was hypo, sorted myself out & had breakfast & got ready to leave for work.
The bus route survey man got annoyed with me coz I couldn't tell him where I wanted to get off the bus.
I pointed to my meditag bracelet as I was struggling to focus & speak.

I now feel stupid

I don't necessarily wake confused but my head does feel 'fuzzy' when I wake with a hypo, and yes I think the public get frustrated when I'm hypo as I can't communicate properly... What did the bus man say when you showed him your meditag? Again, I think it's ignorance, when I see people looking confused in the street I ask if they are ok as not only could they be a diabetic (people have walked past my brother who has been hypo because they assume he is drunk) but could have alzheimers, dementia etc etc I think people need to take more time to consider others rather than worrying about themselves! The number of times I've been pushed out of the way when hypo (on crutches) as someone can't take 2 seconds to step around me let alone ask if I am ok...

Hope you're feeling better now hun

xx

Well you do need at least a full hour after you get back above 4, for your brain to recover sufficiently to do anything reliably.

If you've been DEEPLY hypo or repeatedly hypo - it will be commensurately longer.

This is exactly why the driving rules are as they are and I'll have no truck with people who reckon they are OK in 10 minutes.

They Aren't.

I was 2.2 when I woke up but I still feel funny.

Bus man looked & I don't think gave a hoot coz he didn't get an answer to his question
